Charlie Chaplin showed that, even though life was painful, laughter eased the pain of everyday life. Charlie was raised in a poor community, but still managed to show his true color, on and of stage. Charlie Chaplin appeared very different in person there was more than meets the eye than just the normal comedian. Charlie was born with the talent of acting, and used it very wisely. Charlie Chaplin is a legend today not only because he was good actor, but also because of the contribution he made to peoples lives. When there were downtimes Charlie was there to put a smile on everyone’s face.

Charlie Chaplin’s life was a tragedy from the start; it was only later that Charlie got a reward for his hard work. With all his determination and effort made him the legend that he is today. From the day Charlie Chaplin was born he had learned too stay independent. At the age of seven he and his brother Sdyney were taken to a “Hanwell schools” for Orphans, after his mother had gone insane. Their Sdyney and Charlie were separated. (Page 16-tramp) From this experience Charlie learned the morals of life and how to survive all alone. Charlie was always a kind and caring person, he never tried to take advantage of his name “Charlie Chaplin”; he felt that he shouldn’t be treated different from other people. Charlie would get in line with the audience, and would deny taking a different and faster way out. (Page 213 - remembering) Charlie had to miss school days to make income for his family, he had to do multiple jobs to run his house. Charley and his family were so desperate for money that Charlie attempted to work as a glassblower’s assistant, which wasn’t meant for small boys that can’t lift heavy objects, he also failed this. (Page 28 lines 6-7 Tramp) All these jobs taught him the values of life. Charlie Chaplain’s personality trait was very superior; this is what got him through his personal and acting life.

Charlie Chaplin was a man with morals but different and unusual morals, moral’s that made him the unique person that he is today. Charlie Chaplin’s character was portrait as “The Tramp”, this character had old shoes, shoes worn on the wrong feet, baggy pants, trimmed moustache, cane, and most of all his pride toward this character was what made him the special character. (Page 35 lines 14-15 Tramp) Charlie Chaplin didn’t think that acting involved much thinking; he felt it was something natural for him; he quotes "All I need to make a comedy is a park, a policeman and a pretty girl." Charlie chose performing as a way to get away from reality.

Charlie Chaplin was a person who made almost everyone smile; Charlie Chaplin’s films were mostly black and white but still seemed to make it colorful with his personality traits. Charlie Chaplin affected people very greatly, he was the first person to get them out of the depression, and he showed everyone “Laughter is the tonic, the relief the surcease for pain”. Page 114 lines 12-14 Tramp Charlie made everyone change the way they looked at there own lives. His presence on screen, has showed everyone romance, and happiness, to the people all around the world.

Charlie Chaplin’s contribution to this world has been great, not only in that era but also today. He has been a great role model for the comedians today, and has set a good example of what you can do if you have determination. Charlie Chaplin was a step to the role of comedians today, Charlie Chaplin true colors shined gloriously and always will for the following comedy years.
